I have a confession: I am a HUGE New Kids On the Block fan! When I was in 4th and 5th grade, I was in love with Jordan Knight. I was crazy about New Kids. I even had a NKOTB lunch box. Well, the big news is that they're back together for a reunion tour. I'm so sad that they're not coming to Memphis. I think the closest that they'll be is St. Louis or Atlanta. I would LOVE to see them in concert. Here's their website for anyone who's interested:

You know, I'm not the only NKOTB fan in my family. Michael used to really enjoy dancing to their music. We have some great home video of Michael dancing to "Step by Step." In this video, Michael is about 7 years old, and he's singing and dancing around having a good old time. Patrick (4 years old), however, begins pestering Michael, but Michael completely ignores Patrick while continuing to dance and sing along with the New Kids. Well, Patrick will not be ignored and continues trying to get Michael's attention. The next thing you know, one of Michael's dance moves ends with his elbow accidentally in Patrick's face. Ouch! Michael, of course, continues like nothing happened, but Patrick is crying and walks up to one of my parents wailing, "Michael hit me in the face--on purpose!" It's great that we have video documentation that it was, in fact, accidental and mostly Patrick's fault. I need to get that video, edit me out of it, and upload it. :) It's a classic Shea family moment.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who LOVED the NKOTB. I liked Joey though. Have you heard their new song. I heard it on the radio a couple of days ago and it's pretty good. Great sibling story. I love to pull out the old home videos!
Oh, I'm so glad that you share my love of NKOTB. I haven't heard their new song. I'll have to keep an ear out for it. Now, what would be really funny was if you had any home videos of Joey dancing to NKOTB. I think Jon would pay lots of money to see something like that.
First of all, thank you so much for adding my blog to your blogroll. I always feel so honored when someone trusts me enough to recommend my blog to their friends. I found your blog from my stats page and have enjoyed looking at it.
I also have a history of obsession with NKOTB, and one of my best friends never stopped loving them. She lives in NYC, and I'm going to visit her in October because we might be able to get great tickets to one of their concerts! We went to one of their concerts together in 8th grade and can't wait to relive the memories.
Take care,
